Massage Therapy

Offering the following types of massage therapy.

Deep Tissue — Half Hour $35 - Hour $55

Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve moderate to severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity (such as athletes), and patients who have sustained physical injury. It is not uncommon for receivers of deep tissue massage to have their pain replaced with a new muscle ache for a day or two.

Myofascial — Half Hour $35 - Hour $55

Myofascial release refers to the manual massage technique for stretching the fascia and releasing bonds between fascia, integument, and muscles with the goal of eliminating pain, increasing range of motion and equilibrioception. Myofascial release usually involves applying shear compression or tension in various directions, or by skin rolling.

It most commonly includes kneading and manipulation of muscles, joint mobilization and joint manipulation. Sports massage can be used before an event to warm up the body and increase oxygen in the muscles to prevent cramping and strains. Post event is good for cooling down the muscles and removing lactic acid. Can be done on the therapist table or onsite with a massage chair.

The hot stones used are commonly Basalt stones (or lava rocks) which over time have become extremely polished and smooth.

It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling). In addition, massage for pregnant women reduces stress on weight-bearing joints, encourages blood and lymph circulation, helps to relax nervous tension -- which aids in better sleep - and can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes. Women lay on their sides with pillows for comfort.

Swedish — Half Hour $25 - Hour $50

A soothing massage that incorporates flowing effleurage strokes and kneading to stimulate the bodies circulation and lymphatic systems all while improving flexibility from stiff or shortened muscles. Massage also releases endorphins that are natural pain killers. Great for a relaxing treatment for yourself or someone you care for.
